General Dance Attire:
- All students are required to wear the studio leotard, available for purchase directly from Soo Dance Academy.
Female Ballet Students:
- Wear level-colored leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.
- Level 4 and above females should wear canvas flat shoes with stretchy ribbons sewn on. Pointe shoes must also be sewn with stretchy ribbons.
- Hair must be in a neat, tight ballet bun.
- No jewelry or accessories are allowed.
Male Ballet Students:
- Wear Soo Dance Academy black t-shirts, black tights or black jazz pants, and black ballet shoes.
- Ballet shoe strings should be triple knotted, then trimmed and tucked into shoes.
- Level 4 and above males should wear canvas flat shoes with stretchy ribbons sewn on.
- Hair must be tied back and away from the face.
- No jewelry or accessories are allowed.
Character Students:
- Wear ballet attire and black, low-heeled Sansha brand character shoes.
Male Students (Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary):
- Wear Soo Dance Academy t-shirt, black jazz pants, and black jazz or tap shoes.
- Hair must be tied back and away from the face.
- No jewelry or accessories are allowed.
Ballet Class Attire by Level:
- Pre and Level 1: Pink leotard with white skirt or pink tutu.
- Level 2: Lavender leotard with white skirt.
- Level 3: Blue leotard with white skirt.
- Level 4 & 5 & Teen: Black leotard with white skirt.
Hip-Hop Class:
- Black Soo Dance t-shirt or school leotard, black shorts/pants, and nude jazz shoes or white dance sneakers.
Jazz Class:
- Black Soo Dance t-shirt or school leotard, black shorts/pants, and nude jazz shoes.
Tap Classes:
- Black Soo Dance t-shirt or school leotard, black shorts/pants, and nude tap shoes.
Lyrical/Contemporary Class:
- Black Soo Dance t-shirt or school leotard, black shorts/pants, and eclipse canvas nude half sole shoes.
Ballet Shoes Sewing:
- Ribbon and elastic sewing available for both pointe and flat shoes for dancers in Level 4 and above ($25 per pair). Drop off your shoes in the office for sewing, and you’ll be notified when they’re ready for pick up.
