Soo Dance Company and Academy is a Premier Dance Studio that is currently looking for dance teachers for 2024–2025, starting in the summer 2024 and continuing through the spring 2025. We have two locations: Danville and San Ramon. We are a well-established and professional dance studio with a strong track record of success looking for instructors to join our TEAM.
This position involves teaching techniques as well as choreographing for Competitions (as a PLUS) and also annual showcases December and May. A thorough knowledge of a wide range of dance styles would be a plus, but it is not required.
We only hire career-minded, long-term employees who have a strong work ethic and a desire for professional growth. We value teachers who can teach in a variety of styles and who enjoy working with students of all ages, from tiny tots to our most advanced competitive dancers. Multi-discipline artists are very welcome!

2. Hiring Assistant Students: We are expanding our Soo Dance Competition team and seeking assistant students aged 12 and older. Their duties will include assisting with recreational classes, collaborating on choreography for competition solo or group performances for dancers under 10 years old, and aiding younger dancers in honing their skills. This role will commence during the summer and next season. One of the perks of this position is the opportunity to gain certification and valuable teaching experience, which can be beneficial when applying to college. The initial three-month training period will be unpaid, but assistants will receive $16 per hour for the first year and $18 per hour for the second year thereafter.
